Intake Fact Sheet
Evaluation Services
Comprehensive evaluations are generally requested in order to better understand why a child may be having difficulty meeting
age-appropriate demands in school or at home or to monitor a child’s progress and course of development.
- Neuropsychological Evaluation
Provides a detailed description of a child’s learning style based on careful integration of
findings from test data; observations by parents, teacher, and clinician; and developmental
history. These evaluations address the underlying reasons that a child may be struggling
academically, socially or emotionally and offer parents and teachers a set of tools for
supporting the child’s development.
Clinicians are also available to evaluate proposed educational programs, participate in team
meetings or to observe the child at school to ensure that the recommendations are implemented
effectively in the school environment.
- Psychodiagnostic Assessment
Focused on social-emotional development and functioning, these evaluations are helpful in
understanding why the child may be experiencing emotional distress or exhibiting
changes in behavior or social functioning.
