Katherine DellaPorta, Psy.D.


Katherine (Kate) DellaPorta, Psy.D. is a post-doctoral fellow at NESCA. A 2003 honors graduate of Boston College in psychology, she also holds her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from Loyola University Maryland. Dr. DellaPorta completed her pre-doctoral internship at Comprehensive Outpatient Services, Inc. (Charles River Counseling Center) of Newton, MA, where she provided outpatient individual, family and couples therapy to children, adolescents and adults.

Dr. DellaPorta’s past professional experience includes a pediatric neuropsychology externship at The Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders of Children’s National Medical Center near Washington, D.C., where she was a member of a multi-disciplinary team and conducted comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of children aged 5 -21 suspected of having autism spectrum disorders.

She has also completed a clinical psychology externship at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where she conducted psycho-diagnostic assessments of the cognitive, academic, behavioral and emotional functioning of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, mood disorders and behavioral difficulties. She also provided cognitive-behavioral therapy. She conducted neuropsychological evaluations children, adolescents and adults suspected of having neurocognitive disabilities for a private practice in Columbia, MD as additional training throughout graduate school.
