Elizabeth Gatti, Psy.D. Dr. Gatti is a senior clinician at NESCA. She first joined Dr. Ann Helmus at her former practice, Children's Evaluation Center (CEC), to undergo a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology. Prior to becoming a neuropsychologist, Dr. Gatti specialized in the field of Behavioral Medicine and the psychological treatment of anxiety and stress disorders. Following an internship and post-doctoral training at Cambridge Hospital, a unit of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Gatti served on staff in the Behavioral Medicine Program at Cambridge Hospital as well as UMass Worcester Medical Center. Dr. Gatti’s clinical experience also includes partnership in private practices both in Wellesley, MA as well as London, England, working with children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her doctorate from Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, following a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Dr. Gatti specializes in working with school-age children (pre-school through college) assessing learning, attentional and developmental disorders, as well as a range of emotional/psychiatric issues. She has pursued many continuing education opportunities in the areas of Language-Based Learning Disabilities and Dyslexia, as well as Autism Spectrum Disorders (including Asperger’s Disorder.) Trained in administration of the ADOS, she has acquired substantial experience in the diagnostic evaluation of children suspected of having Autism Spectrum and other developmental disorders. Dr. Gatti also conducts projective psychological testing for clients for whom psychological concerns are paramount. Dr. Gatti joined NESCA at its inception and as a senior clinician, actively participates in the training and supervision of interns and post-doctoral fellows, while currently serving on NESCA's Management Advisory Committee. An avid skier, she is the mother of two school-age children. |
