Kelly Lowery, Psy.D.


Kelly Lowery, Psy.D. joined Ann Helmus' team at NESCA in 2009. Dr. Lowery trained at the Johns Hopkins Medical Center's prestigious Kennedy Kreiger Institute, where she conducted neuropsychological and psycho-diagnostic assessments of children and adolescents in the Institute's Learning Disabilities Research Center.

Dr. Lowery also has experience as a child and family therapist, specializing in anxiety disorders and ADHD. She has particular expertise in evaluation and therapeutic intervention for children/adolescents with complicated medical histories.

In addition to the assessment of learning, attentional and developmental disorders, Dr. Lowery conducts projective psychological testing for clients for whom psychological issues are a concern. She is also trained in administration of the ADOS and has experience in the diagnostic evaluation of children suspected of having an Autism Spectrum disorder.

Dr. Lowery's professional background also includes health care administration and policy, with a focus on community health issues. She has served as an instructor for first-year students at Tufts School of Medicine and has published numerous articles in professional journals.

A resident of Boston, she is the mother of three school-aged children.
